I am a professional counsellor working in Cheltenham. Before working in private practice, I worked with clients at Gloucestershire Counselling Service and have experience over a number of years working with individuals with a wide range of difficulties.
The issues I can help to address include:
- Anxiety
- Stress
- Loss
- Bereavement
- Depression
- Panic attacks
- Abuse
- Trauma
- Issues with identity, sexuality and gender
- Boarding school issues
- Difficulties with anger
- Low self esteem or low self confidence
- A feeling that life is empty or meaningless
- Worries about taking decisions
- Relationship issues
- Work related problems
I have a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (awarded by Westminster Pastoral Foundation, WPF) and a Foundation Degree in Psychodynamic Counselling (awarded by the University of the West of England, UWE). Following my professional qualification, I completed the Gloucestershire Counselling Service Associate Programme to gain an Associate Award in Psychodynamic Counselling.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and Registrant of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I adhere to both organisations' Codes of Ethics.
I will have a vacancy towards the end of September for someone in a position to come for sessions 3 times a week, for 2 years. This would be at a reduced rate with the possibility of a bursary for those on a low income or unemployed.
